It’s hard to believe neither Lee Chong Wei nor Lin Dan win Badminton World Championships 2017!

While there were a lot of interviews featuring Dato Lee and Lin Dan on what was their expectation in this match, we can imagine how high expectation was put on to both or them.

Lee Chong Wei in the First Match

Lee lost the first match to his opponent, Brice Leverdez from France.

“I can’t promise to stay until Tokyo Olympic, maybe I will retire tomorrow…” said Lee, after the match.

He looked sad and further mentioned he has no idea what he will be doing next, and he has no idea whether to stay or retire any soon.

Lin Dan get to the Final

Lin, on the other hand, had won a few matches and been able to get into men single final stage.

He is, however, lost to the young Denmark player named Viktor Axelsen.

“Everyone is talking about my age (33), but I have proved I can still play at a high level,” he said

Next Generation is RISING!

A lot of new players are started to show their talent.

There are a lot of discussion saying the next generation will be dominating the badminton world soon!

Viktor Axelsen, Chou Tien Chen, Chen Long, etc are on the rise.

Lee Chong Wei vs Lin Dan… Anymore?

Many are hoping to witness the two legends to fight again in the championships but that seems impossible now.

The next match would be Korea Open.

It may be hard to predict if they are going to take part and perform their best, or they will take a long rest before returning to the arena.
